Ford Motor Company Inducts Jay Cimino into the Dealer’s Hall of Fame

Cimino becomes 24th inductee Phil Long is #1, #2, and #3 Ford Volume Dealer in CO

Colorado Springs, Colo., June 6, 2022 – Jay Cimino, President and C.E.O. of Phil Long Dealerships, was recently inducted into the Ford Motor Company Top Volume Dealer Hall of Fame. Cimino, the 24th inductee to hold this honor, is among Ford’s high-performing dealers widely regarded for their outstanding retail performance and dedicated community leadership. Cimino was selected as a 2021 Hall of Famer, but due to the pandemic and last year’s event being canceled, he was inducted this year.

To be inducted, an honoree must be regarded as a true hero by Ford Motor Company, loved by their customers, revered by their employees, be engrained in their community, be a top volume dealer, is successful in all dealer operations, and respected by their fellow Ford dealers nationwide. Since the Hall of Fame’s establishment in 2017, and including the 2022 class, there have been 31 inductees into this prestigious group. Cimino, just last year, was inducted into the Colorado Auto Dealers Association Hall of Fame and in 2020, he was inducted into the Colorado Business Hall of Fame.

Phil Long Ford was founded in 1945 by Mr. Philip Long, a decorated war hero.  Thirty years later, Cimino joined Long and the partners formed a vision for a hundred-year-old company, which today, has resulted in the auto dealer’s growth from 123 employees and one dealership to over 1200 employees and 18 dealerships.

Cimino owns five Ford dealerships located in Denver, Colorado Springs, Trinidad and Raton, New Mexico. His dealerships ranked #1, #2 and #3 by Ford Motor Company for volume sales in Colorado.

“Phil Long Dealerships’ mission has always been to strengthen communities, and to help make our employees be the best they can be while serving our customers. We have a spirit to win in everything we do, inside the dealerships and in our community,” said Cimino. “Thank you to my partner and mentor Mr. Long, who offered me the opportunity to join him in impacting the auto industry, and to the generations of employees and customers who have made this award possible.”

Cimino, a Ford dealer for over 55 years, is a founding member of the Ford Fairlane restoration committee with Edsel Ford, which helped to raise millions to restore Henry Ford’s Fairlane estate.  He is the founder of Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center, with headquarters in Colorado Springs and office locations in Fountain, Pueblo and Trinidad, which has supported over 88,000 veteran visits since its opening in 2016 and provides transition and employment assistance, behavioral health and wellness, supportive services, connection to community resources, and safe event space for veterans, military members and their families. Cimino also founded Mt. Carmel Wellness & Community Center in Trinidad, Colorado, which provides holistic healthcare and wellness programs to Las Animas County and surrounding communities.
