(TRINIDAD, CO) – (December 12, 2018) –– As part of Mt. San Rafael Hospital’s upcoming facility renovation project, and in preparation for demolition of the Southeast Wing of the facility, they have announced a temporary closure of the Bonaventure thru-road which provides access to the hospital’s Professional Complex. The thru-road will be closed in order to complete infrastructure improvements between the Professional Complex and what will be the new wing of the hospital.

The closure will be in effect from December 17 through January 4, 2019.

The main parking area for the Professional Complex will be closed for the duration; however, access to the building and its services will remain open with parking for patients and visitors redirected to the South side of the building. The Professional Complex is home to the hospital billing office, specialty physicians Dr. Andrea Doeden for gynecology and Dr. Mizera for orthopaedics; and, offices for traveling physicians providing outpatient services on a rotating basis for cardiology, dermatology, ENT, nephrology, ophthalmology, and pulmonary.

Access to the Emergency Room and the hospital’s Rural Health Clinic will not be impacted by this road closure although construction signage will be visible, assisting drivers navigating through the area.

Mt. San Rafael Hospital is a 25-bed, critical access facility serving the medical and surgical needs of Trinidad residents and the surrounding areas. For more information about the hospital or this temporary road closure, please call (719) 846-9213.
